Zombies...Caillou...oh God

Here I am, alive and well and probably with a couple of years slashed off of my life expectancy.

I have been missing in action for awhile. Tess' MRCA came back, yippee yippee yay. We are now on the second of three antibiotics that will kill the infection so with luck this will be the end of it. Her poor little butt, I just hope she doesn't scar. The first spot is still there almost a month later.

In other news, my dad has been terribly ill with what started out as a severe case of hiccups, turned into a perforated esophogus and ended with a three day hospital stay. He is home now, we took a trip up this weekend to help him out with some things around the house and keep him company. Being in Connecticut it's hard to get to him so hopefully he will be ok before long.

If you watched the video that I hastily slapped on last week you will see that my sister and I entered the Rufus contest once more. This time we were vying to perform at Radio City Music Hall. We didn't win because life is seldom that fair...instead a kid wearing a top hat and walking around in his garage took the prize...go figure.

So! With this cheery post I have, let's see...nothing good to report, aren't you glad you stopped in? Soon I promise fun and frolic, I shall tell you about Tess' zombie fish and newfound love of the devil that is Caillou...I probably should have save this post title for that one but I didn't want to have to extend my brain too much.

Three things before I go and soak my worries away...

Take a gander at babyhow.com, this is a huge informative site that celebrates all things baby (and toddler, as the case may be). This is a new site that is definitely worth checking out, tons of topics and threads.

Jackie over at Nursing Your Kids presented me with an Excellent Blogger award! I stumbled onto her blog only recently and I wish I had found it back when I was still breastfeeding. She has great topics on there and reading her blog makes me feel really good about having breastfed Tess for 22 months (instead of like a freak of nature, which is how a lot of people look at me whenever I share that little tidbit).

Finally...Tess would like to present her unique rendition of Moon River
