Just a brief word and then I am going to bombard you with pictures. I need to give a big screaming THANK YOU to all the people on the rufuswainwright.com message boards. Someone from the board came across my previous post that detailed my very thrilling meeting with Rufus and referred other fans on the board. They linked my blog, the pictures and I got such amazing positive feedback from so many people, it really made my week (especially with a sick toddler, I wasn't really having the best time, this was a big bright spot). I got notes on the message board, e-mails, myspace messages, you name it. These people were so nice and so genuinely happy for us, I was really pleased that they enjoyed the story and invited us to join them in their ongoing Rufus love :) You guys are awesome and I look forward to chatting with you for a long time to come.
Ok, now, an homage to poor Tess who was fighting the good fight this week. This poor child had raging fevers, a whole lotta puking and she was not a happy camper. We were housebound for five solid days before she was 24 hours fever free and ok to go outside again. Of those days, five out of five were brilliantly sunny and today...it rained. Tonight one of the local churches held a Strawberry Festival with lots of strawberry desserts and a strawberry themed Chinese auction so we headed over there in Tess' very apropos strawberry fields ensemble...
The best part was that we won the Grand Poobah of auction items and walked away with the strawberry afghan :)
Ok now...bed for me, and tomorrow I shall make my rounds to see how everyone else is doing...good night friends.

Ahhh..I remember the days when I could dres sup my daughter and do her hair. Now she fights me on everything!
Poor little Tess. So glad she is feeling better. I hate it when little ones get sick, it makes you feel so helpless.

Glad Tess is feeling better now...poor kid! Tell B he has a nice farmer's tan in that first pic..haha! Those strawberries on the aphgan look like ladybugs!
I am so glad that she is doing better. That must have been tough on the both of you. Love the pics - she is growing so fast and is so cute!!!
Brooke, I am sorry she's sick again. What a little trooper. I'd be in bed whining like a baby.
